Uffda! I’ve Published Two New Notebooks — Because We All Forget Stuff
I have a little announcement to make. I’ve published two new notebooks, both built around a problem that most of us know rather well: forgetting things we were absolutely certain we would remember.
The title says it all: this is the perfect funny reminder notebook for keeping track of things you might forget.
UFFDA! I KEEP FORGETTING STUFF
A notebook for the things I was absolutely going to remember.
And yes, I suspect quite a few of us could use one.
Two covers, the same familiar problem
I decided to make two versions of this funny reminder notebook, each with its own illustrated cover.
One features a woman enjoying a cup of coffee while trying to remember what she was supposed to do. Her cat seems to be taking the whole situation rather more calmly than she is.
The other features a gentleman in a cosy knitted jumper, looking equally thoughtful — or perhaps simply wondering where he put his glasses.
Both covers capture that familiar moment when you know you had something to do, something to buy, or somewhere to be, but the information has apparently left the building.
I thought it would be fun to offer a choice. After all, forgetfulness doesn’t discriminate.
What can you use it for?
The idea behind this notebook is wonderfully simple. Each Uffda! I Keep Forgetting Stuff notebook contains 120 lined pages where you can write down all those little things that tend to disappear from your mind at the least convenient moment.
- Things you need to do.
- Things you need to buy.
- Appointments and reminders.
- Ideas you don’t want to lose.
- The name of that book someone recommended.
- The thing you came into the room to fetch.
You know the drill.
A funny reminder notebook won’t magically improve your memory, but it can give all those loose ends somewhere to live other than the back of your mind.
And unlike a phone app, it won’t interrupt you with notifications, demand an update, or need charging. You just open it, write something down, and carry on with your day.
Of course, you still have to remember where you put the notebook. I haven’t quite solved that problem yet.
A small gift with a sense of humor
I also think these notebooks could make amusing little gifts for friends, family members, colleagues, or anyone who has ever walked into a room and immediately forgotten why.
They’re suitable for birthdays, Christmas stockings, office gift exchanges, or simply as a small present for someone who appreciates a bit of everyday humor.
The joke isn’t really about being forgetful. It’s about recognizing ourselves in those ordinary, slightly ridiculous moments that happen to all of us.
And sometimes, a little humor is a good way to deal with the things we can’t entirely fix.
Where can you find them?
Both versions of UFFDA! I KEEP FORGETTING STUFF are available on Amazon.
You can choose the cover that suits you best — the coffee-drinking woman and her cat, or the thoughtful gentleman with his own collection of things to remember.

Uffda! I Keep Forgetting Stuff: A notebook for things I was absolutely going to remember
If you pick one up, I hope it gives you somewhere to keep track of all those things you were absolutely going to remember.
And why not get both? You could keep one for the things you need to remember and the other for the things you forgot to write in the first one. Uffda!
A little note about supporting the blog
I have no plans to turn this blog into a business venture. I started it because I enjoy writing, sharing what I learn, and helping others explore their family history. That remains the main reason I keep doing it.
However, running a blog takes time and money, and the proceeds from sales of my books and notebooks help cover some of those costs. So, if you happen to buy one of my Uffda! notebooks, you will get a useful little place to keep track of the things you were absolutely going to remember — and you will also be helping me keep this blog running.
For that, I am genuinely grateful. Thank you for reading, following along, and supporting what I do.
