Summer!
Summer is the time to relax, so I will take some time off blogging
As the summer is here and many of you will be taking time off genealogy, I will take some time off blogging.
This does not necessarily mean that there will be no updates to my blog as I have some “pre-fabricated” book recommendations and videos scheduled.
Some of you are struggling with the new interface at Digitalarkivet. I have posted some article about this and, as promised, I will write more. Some of the features have not been put in place. Also, having monitored the user forum at Digitalarkivet I learn that some of the features might be rolled back to look more like we were used to in the old design. To not create confusion I will wait a bit before I write more about Digitalarkivet.
You might want to have a look at the articles I have written about the redesign.
I have updated my article about the Norwegian censuses to reflect the new design.
Even though I take time off blogging, I am, like always, available to answer comments and questions. Send me a message by going to the contact page or through my Facebook page.
Have a wonderful summer, Martin!!!
Thanks Amy. I wish you the same! 🙂
Just purchased Scandinavians In Search of The Soul of the North written by Robert Ferguson and also Siblings Are Forever a DVD.
Ferguson has also written The Vikings.
If you have shared these materials, great but if not perhaps you might.
I appreciate your e-mails!
Hello Carolyn. Thanks for bringing to my attention the Ferguson book Scandinavians in search…. That sounds like a book I would like to read and that may fit my readers. I believe I have read his “Vikings” book. The DVD Siblings are forever, is an extraordinary tale. I haven’t seen the actual cinema movie, but there has been programs on TV about these siblings.
Have a wonderful summer. Thanks so much for all the great info you provide. Very helpful. All my ancestors are from Norway .
Plan to return next June and spend the month. Last trip visited a lot of family towns
Thank you so much for your kind words Lorraine! You must have a great summer too. Be sure to tell me if you make it to Romsdal on your next trip to Norway.
