{"id":7799,"date":"2019-06-14T14:44:32","date_gmt":"2019-06-14T13:44:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/martinroe.com\/blog\/?p=7799"},"modified":"2019-06-14T14:44:32","modified_gmt":"2019-06-14T13:44:32","slug":"the-old-digitalarkivet-is-now-closed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/martinroe.com\/blog\/the-old-digitalarkivet-is-now-closed\/","title":{"rendered":"The &#8220;old Digitalarkivet&#8221; is now closed."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The pages in the old Digital archives (GDA) is as of today June 14th closed.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This is reported in a blog post published today from the Digital Archives.<\/p>\n<p>The new solution at the Digital Archives has been in place since 2011 and since then the old databases have not been updated.\u00a0 The reason for the sudden closure of the old pages is the discovery of a security issue.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, most of the information that was hosted on the old servers, is available on the new Digital Archives. It seems like all the information that is most interesting to us genealogists has been moved to the new servers.<\/p>\n<p>Some digitized books that were hosted on the old servers are no longer available. The Digital Archives are considering to move these to the new servers.<\/p>\n<p>The Digital Archives has seen a steady increase in the use of the new solution while the old solution has had a dwindling number of hits.<\/p>\n<p>I know that there are some who still used the old solution.
