{"id":7244,"date":"2019-01-08T07:00:11","date_gmt":"2019-01-08T06:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/martinroe.com\/blog\/?p=7244"},"modified":"2025-12-18T14:48:29","modified_gmt":"2025-12-18T13:48:29","slug":"new-beginnings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/martinroe.com\/blog\/new-beginnings\/","title":{"rendered":"New beginnings!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Every once in a while I am contacted by people who are just starting out in genealogy.&nbsp; The one question they often ask is: &#8220;Where do I start&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now at the start of the year it can be suitable to make a re-run of&nbsp;some &nbsp;articles&nbsp;aimed at helping the budding genealogist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/martinroe.com\/blog\/a-brief-introduction-to-genealogy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">A brief introduction to genealogy<\/a>\u00a0covers the basic steps\u00a0to get started.
