It is located in the present-day municipality of <a title=\"Flekkefjord\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flekkefjord\">Flekkefjord<\/a>. The 20.8-square-kilometre (8.0\u00a0sq\u00a0mi) municipality existed from 1893 until its dissolution in 1965. It encompassed the islands and southern coastal part of the present-day municipality of <a title=\"Flekkefjord\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flekkefjord\">Flekkefjord<\/a>. The municipality included the islands of<a title=\"Hidra (island)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hidra_(island)\">Hidra<\/a> and <a title=\"Andabel\u00f8ya\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Andabel%C3%B8ya\">Andabel\u00f8ya<\/a> as well as 56 other islands, plus the mainland coast from Abelsnes to the river <a title=\"Sira (river)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sira_(river)\">Sira<\/a>.
