The photographer has collected a number of photos from times gone by and found the exact spot where they were taken.<!--more--> He has then taken a new picture that he compares with the old. Seterhusene ble her ofte bygd vegg i vegg og gravd inn i bakken for at de skulle v\\u00e6re mest mulig beskyttet mot sn\\u00f8ras. I 1888 var Norangsdalen allerede en kjent attraksjon. Store luksusskip kom med turister til strandstedet \\u00d8ye, og med hest og vogn kj\\u00f8rte de gjennom dalen fram til fjorden ved Hellesylt hvor skipene l\\u00e5 og ventet. Midt i denne str\\u00f8mmen av turister arbeidet seterjentene. De kom opp om kvelden for \\u00e5 melke og overnattet for \\u00e5 ta morgenstellet. Neste morgen kj\\u00f8rte de melka ned til \\u00d8ye. Om dagen arbeidet budeiene p\\u00e5 g\\u00e5rdene, f\\u00f8r de igjen m\\u00e5tte tilbake til setra om kvelden.
