My wife and I traveled through Norway back in May and June 2019. It was our second and third time there and we hope it won’t be our last time.

Norway is well known around the world for certain places and buildings. obviously there are the Fjords but there is more. In this video, we visit a lot of them. We start off with traveling to Leikanger kommune. On our way, we visit Flåm where we meet our family who is also in Norway. Together we enjoy a train ride which is called Flåmsbana and goes from Flåm to Myrdal. After we arrive in a very nice and new Airbnb we hiked around the lakes in the neighborhood which are filled with trout. We also drove the famous route 55 or Sognefjellet. After that, we visit a stave church, an Iconic medieval wooden church that Norway is famous for. A day later we meet again with family to hike up to the Nigardsbreen, a glacier that is part of the Jostedalsbreen glacier. The hike is relatively easy and the blue ice and water that comes down from it is a beautiful reward. Our last long drive is to Bergen where we spent one night before we fly home. We take our time to enjoy the beautiful weather exploring Bryggen i Bergen , the historic Hanseatic part of Bergen and another iconic and well-known place in Norway. Enjoy!

Norway has a special place in our hearts. It’s not the comfort, not the nice prices or the good weather. In fact, if it where for those things it might be a bad place to go to. For us its nature, nature like nowhere else. The ability to drive for hours on end and not see anyone. To walk to a really popular peak and meet just one like-minded person. We like those places because it gives you the feeling you’re really in nature and not on a tourist attraction. Aside from that Norway offers a combination of water, ice sunshine, mountains, and wildlife that is absolutely unique. We hope this video series will transfer a little bit of the feeling and the reward you get visiting this country. Enjoy!
