Friday finds: Norwegian Christmas traditions

Here are some websites telling about Norwegian Christmas traditions.

Being a nurse working on a shift schedule means that none of my weeks are the same. This has been a very busy week so my Friday finds is a little amputated.

What I am sharing this week are some websites that tells about Norwegian traditions and concepts relating to Christmas.

“A Norwegian Christmas is filled with many celebrations and traditions, old and new” In the blog My Little Norway I found the article  A Norwegian Christmas

In Norway it’s the “Nisse” that brings the presents for the children. There are different kinds of “nisser” Read about it in the  article Legend of the Nisse and Tomte from the Ingebretsen’s blog.

While this article from A new life in Norway leaves out the fact that some Norwegians eat different kinds of fish dishes for their Christmas dinner, it tells about A Typical Norwegian Christmas Menu.

At Christmas time we hide the bath weight scale and eat a lot of sweets. The Norwegian Christmas cookies are well known. the NORWEGIAN american tells about Seven cookies for Christmas

As we are all getting ready for Christmas I am going to pull back on the blogging in December.

Here are some other blogs that presents links under the “finds” meme:
